December 13, 2004 Update

Hi loyal Dalliance fans. I know you are out there; I can see you all on the web tracking software I use.  There are many exciting things happening for us here.

In November I premiered my first fall arrangements on Dalliance. They were very well received and, thanks to my Grubb and Ellis friends, I sold several.

We’ve been working to update the website and are proud to announce that if you Google Dalliance, we appear as the number two item on that list. We’re aiming for number one, so please keep up your surfing visits and be sure to tell all of your friends about us too.

The orders for cards as Christmas gifts are picking up. If you’d like to receive a free sample of one of our cards please email me with your address and I’d be happy to send you one.

I am currently into the “gain experience” phase of my business plan. In October I was hired on at Dr. Delphinium; consistently named Dallas’ best florist by D Magazine.  Boy oh boy, am I gaining experience! I’m surrounded every day by beautiful flowers and flowering plants and people who love to work with them. It is such a joy to be in the flower business simply because we get to be involved in all those one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime events that our customers are celebrating. Last week I got the help a 5 year old boy pick out the first flowers his new little brother would ever get to see in his entire life. On Fridays I get the help all those poor men who need to get out of the dog house with their wives or girl friends before the weekend starts. Then there are all of those important anniversaries and birthdays. Also, there are the weddings and the flowers that announce the proposals beforehand.  And I can’t leave out all the proud parents who want to applaud the achievements of their precious children and grandchildren.  And who could forget all those mothers who come in with their nervous sons to get the corsage for that special girl friend before the big dance. Flowers allow me to be involved in each of those special moments, to share the joy and the excitement of the customer as he or she tells me all the details; I am blessed by them every day.
